Can anyone advise if they ever have any alternative that they can use for their Mayor in the event of not being able to use the chains? For instance, when the Mayor’s attendant cannot attend or the Mayor is travelling by train and not by the usual car/attendant basis. I just wanted to check if you have a broach or pin that you use when you don’t allow the chains to leave without the correct security in place.

We have had a replica chain made for our Lord Mayor for this type of instance, if it for anybody else then its a badge on a ribbon.
