Our current Mayor is going to be having a Civic Sunday Service and a procession from our town hall to the Church. I’m just wondering if there is a set order for the parade. We are inviting the Borough Mayor and the Deputy Lord Lieutenant. The Cadet will be included along with past Mayors of the town.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
The procession order usually starts with the Lord lieutenant, High Sheriff, Chair of county council, chair of district council, Mayor, cadet if they have one, Town Clerk, deputy mayor, councillors…
Hope this helps, thanks
Hi - this is covered in detail within Civic Ceremonial which can be read on the website
Thanks Tracy. Please could you let me know which page it’s on as I can’t seem to find it in the 300 odd pages
Hi - start with Chapter 9, which goes through the Ceremonial Officers and their roles. You will then need to determine the order for your local area and which officers will be present
