We are arranging to host a low key D-Day Flag Raising ceremony on 6 June.
I was just wondering if anyone knew if there is a standard order of service that we should be following? Or any standard readings or prayers etc?
If anyone can point me in the direction of any further information or provide me with details of what they are doing that would be very helpful.

I am awaiting some further information from our local RBL branch but as it stands I am planning on the following:
A short speech from the Mayor regarding the importance of D-Day
An Act of Remembrance led by the RBL with a mins silence
This will take place on the steps of the Town Hall. We will then move to the Towns War memorial and lay wreaths followed by a reception for attending veterans and councillors. Hope this helps
