Hello. We mark Armed Forces Week, Merchant Navy Day and Commonwealth Day with a 10am flag raising ceremony. I am trying to find out if 10am is when flag raisings are held nationally, or if we can be flexible on the time. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks.
We tend to raise flags at 8am, unless the Mayor is going to be involved in a photo shoot, so Mayor dependant, we may make it a little later.

Hello - if we are formally raising a flag with the Mayor in attendance, it will be at 10am, otherwise it will be raised around 7:30am by Town Hall staff

We tend to opt for 11.00am, if the Lord Mayor is to be present. I don’t think there is a ‘hard and fast’ time for these things.
Of course, if it is a routine raising of a flag on our flag protocol, this takes place much earlier and without ‘fanfare’.
