Hereditary Freemanships

I have been asked to investigate the criteria and protocols for Hereditary Freemanships.

at Exeter - we expect the recipient to prove the linage by producing birth and death certificates but wondered if other authorities do the same and also if they permit Hereditary Freemanships

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

at reigate and banstead we don’t have hereditary freemanships so can’t help sorry!
i’ve only just got my head around hon freemen :slight_smile:
