Mayor's Charity bank account

I wish to open a new bank account as a repository for the mayor’s charity fundraising. It is neither a registered charity nor business nor personal account! My research so far has not found a suitable bank account, unless we wish to pay a monthly fee. Can anyone suggest a UK based bank?

Hi, we currently bank with Barclays, the account has been held for around ten years and was started without having charitable status. The account is part of our corporate banking facility and responsibility is held by our Finance department. I have been told that Metro Bank do offer an account for organisations that work in the third sector but I don’t know if they would accept an application from a Local Authority.

Hi, Like Stephen, our council has just moved to Barclays and works as above.

Here is Shrewsbury, we use Nat West and our Responsible Finance Officer manages the accounts.
