I have a Chair this year who is not religious and has asked about the possibility of making their Civic Service a non-religious event. Has anyone else been in this position or have any ideas?

I attended a non-religious Remembrance event a few years ago that was organised with/by Humanists UK. Their website (humanists.uk) will probably at least give you somewhere to start and they have a specific contact email for “Humanist weddings, funerals, namings, and other ceremonies”.
My Deputy Mayor is the same and next year he will be hosting a welcome to the borough & community gathering at a large community hall, inviting all faiths should they wish to attend, and other guests to show appreciation to all.
