Public Display Of Civic Chains of Office

Dear Civic Colleagues

In advance of our forthcoming heritage day, I’d like to display the chains for North East Lincolnshire to the public and to do so, on display busts; however; I’m drawing a bit of a blank on where to source said display busts despite there being plenty available on the market, I’m struggling somewhat on what and where to buy.

I’d really appreciate if anyone has any advice or experience on this and could point me in the right direction.

This is the cabinet, in which, along with other Grimsby specific civic and military items will be displayed, we’re limited in space and, whilst I’ve spent a fair amount of time looking for suitable solutions to display our Chains of office, I finally went with large display busts in black leather. They should (fingers crossed) fit nicely in height and width between the two gaps at the back of the cabinet.

Hi David. Out of interest, where did you get the display busts from? We need to display our retired chain in a display cabinet and would like to do so on a bust rather than in a frame, but I have had no luck trying to find a large one.

Black is O.O.S but the grey which we got looks great
