It’s not! There is no legal requirement to publish any such lists. It’s not a bad idea to promote what the Mayor is doing, but you don’t have to.

I never publish it. There is no legal requirement to do so and its not in our particular councils constitution either, though it may be worth checking yours? We do post some pictures from major events on our social media sometimes.

Some authorities publish the list retrospectively so that there is no information provided as to when the Civic Head is away from home.

We don’t anymore, we used to and to send the list out to local papers etc but now we just post pictures on social media afterwards.
